ABOUT US
Rise & Shine Community Supports provides community access and support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and autism across Boulder and Weld Counties.
Everyone deserves agency over their lives, and our role as a support in individuals' lives is to get to know each person we support; what motivates them, what interests them, what they hope for their lives, and help each person take an active role in the life and community of their choosing.
We provide:

Community outings: hiking, fishing, cooking, making art, a Friday night out, a local festival, and so much more. These are the same activities so many adults enjoy, and our goal is to make sure everyone has access to them, with the right support alongside.

In-home supports: practical support building everyday skills and independence at home.

Peer mentorship: guidance and support to set and achieve personal goals.
We are in the final stages of becoming a Program Approved Service Agency (PASA) with Colorado Medicaid. This will let us serve individuals and families on HCBS waivers. Until then, we offer private pay and sliding scale options, and we coordinate with available grant funding to keep services accessible.

Everyone deserves the right to direct their own life. That belief is at the heart of my commitment to social justice, and it’s why I started Rise & Shine Community Supports.
After more than 15 years in the IDD field, it was hard to find support for people with IDD and Autism built around who they are and what they want. I founded Rise & Shine to offer a more individualized service approach. We center the person's interests, their goals, and the life they want to build. Then we find or create opportunities to make them happen.
As founder, I work on the ground-level, planning our activities and providing direct support in the community and at home. Providing the in person support keeps me connected to the people we serve and makes sure our services continue to reflect what participants want, as their goals and interests grow and change.
Language should never be a barrier to getting support. I’m proficient in American Sign Language and conversational in Spanish, and I’m committed to making sure anyone who comes to us can communicate in the way that works best for them.
I grew up in Boulder and Longmont, and I’m proud to be building something here that gives people more choice, more connection, and more ownership over their lives.

Daniel Reizenstein

My wife, Ally, and I met through our work in the IDD field, where we discovered a shared passion for helping people access the support and opportunities to lead lives of their choosing. Joining her at Rise & Shine means bringing that shared purpose into our everyday work and building something together that reflects what matters deeply to the both of us.
Over more than 15 years, I’ve worked across direct care, early intervention, bilingual children’s case management and service coordination, HCBS waiver enrollments, Section 8 intake supervision, and PASA training and audit support. These experiences have shown me how much is possible when people receive the right support, and how often complicated processes create real barriers for people.
I oversee business operations, compliance, and documentation. Careful and consistent work behind the scenes helps us provide dependable support and build an organization that can serve people long term.
I also hold a degree in Spanish Language and Literature and provide bilingual Spanish-speaking support. I want every person and family to be able to ask questions, understand their options, and participate with confidence.
